    Large printing (2000 SP3)

    Hi,

I have a large amount of data I'd like to summarise on one sheet of paper (poster sized), but I seem to have hit an Excel limit on cell size.

The poster is 6 cells wide by 16 cells deep, but one cell has over 20,000 characters. My version of excel seems to fail in the formatting of the cell. There seems to be a limit to the number of characters that excel can wordwrap, the last row of the cell is not wordwrapped, a bit like below where the o's are what I can see & the x's are the characters that don't get wrapped:

    ooooooooooo
    ooooooooooo
    ooooooooooo
    ooooooooooo
    ooooooooooo
    oooooooooooxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

There is also the problem that my version seems to have a 255x410 limit to cell size.

Am I correct in thinking that these two issues are Excell 2000 limits?
    Would upgrading solve this?

I tried pasting into Word, but Word doesn't let me increase the paper size very much (I intend to print on a 1m wide plotter).

    Thanks
    Jim

It suggests putting the output in a text box, if it's the only workaround then I guess that's what I'll have to do!

    Thank you

Do you have Microsoft Publisher? (It came with most flavors of Office 2000)
It appears to be more suitable than either Word or Excel for printing large documents such as posters.
