    Statbar a virus?

Ridiculously wide screenshot cropped by HansV - please don't post images larger than 640x480.

I have been using a little program called StarBar for some time. The web site for the program is http://www.statbar.nl/. It has not been updated since 2005, but I hadn't found anything comparable. And now, AVG or Zone Alarm decided it's a virus and deleted it off my system. I can't get a screen shot from my system, but I've attached a screen shot so you can get an idea. If anyone has a substitute program, I'd love to hear about it. Thanks.

It's probably a false positive, and it has been reported by others - see for example AVG Free Forum :: Newest update: conflict with Statbar program!. This has happened before; if history repeats itself, the problem should be solved soon, and you can then install StatBar again.

Dang, you're fast with the answers, thank you. I'm sorry about the graphic. I could not get a screen copy from my desktop - it just showed a blue field - and what I posted was straight from their web site. Just out of curiosity, is there anything comparable or better, since StatBar is a little on the elderly side now?

    Re: Statbar a virus?

There's a successor to StatBar: WinBar (latest version 1.2.95 beta) but it also hasn't been updated for a while now.
Some alternatives were mentioned by Joe Perez and Chris Baldrey a little bit earlier today in the thread starting at <post:=688,236>post 688,236</post:>.
