    Scheduled tasks (SP2)

I use BackUp My PC software to back up my data daily and my photos weekly on my PC. The jobs created in the software are scheduled to run at times in the wee hours using the Task Scheduler. A problem arises on the day that both jobs are run. If the first job is not complete when the 2nd job is scheduled to begin the 2nd job does not run. Is there any way to tell the Scheduler to begin the 2nd job as soon as the first job is finished?

    TIA,
    Georgette

I don't think so (others will no doubt correct me if I'm wrong). I'd increase the interval between the start times of the two jobs.

I agree with Hans in that I don't believe there is a way to trigger a schedule when an earlier one finishes.

I don't know Backup My PC software, bus it is possible to create a single 'job' that includes backing up both your data and photos and run that as a single task once a week? (With the data backup job being scheduled to run on the other six days?)

Can you post a screenshot of the settings tab for the tasks?

Screen grabs from the Window's Task Scheduler (all 3 tabs) are attached.
    Thanks,

On the settings tab of the task that runs weekly try using the idle time section. Have the task run only if the system has been idle for some small period and then retry the task for a period of time that you think should be long enought to let the other task terminate.

I will give it a try... double tasks are run on Monday, so we'll see!

    Thanks for the suggestion,
