instructions about adding dialog (VB 2005 Express

May anyone give me advice about adding dialog boxes to a project? E.g. if I want to create dialog "are you sure that you want to discard changes?" what is procedure (code)?

In attachment you will find screenshot that show dialog box that happens when you want to add new item. One of these items(i.e. templates) is dialog.

Hope that you will understand my question.

    Thanks

What you're probably after is a Message Box, rather than a dialog.
See MsgBox Function (Visual Basic) and VB lesson 10 for some examples.

    thanks for reply!

I visited pages that you wrote, but I don't understand completely explanations.

May you post a project with example of using each of options?

I believe that it wouldn't be problem.

    Thank you anyway

    Slaven,

How much VB do you know? Maybe it could help you to follow through some tutorial sites on the web.

But the sort of code you want can be found here: Msgbox Example - Developer Fusion - Visual Basic, C# Programming, ASP.NET, .NET Framework and Java Tutorials. Just follow the instructions by adding three command buttons called cmdExample1, cmdExample2 and cmdExample3, to a Form. Then add the code shown on the web page, and then run your project.

About my knowledge of VB, I know VB basically, but enough to create a simple project.

It's true that I have never used a procedures to create MsgBoxes for these purposes we discuss about.

Because of this, I need to know procedures of these types of MsgBoxes.

    Thanks.
