Some pictures are not showing (IE5)

Hello all <img src=/S/hello.gif border=0 alt=hello width=25 height=29>

I have creaded a website for our Dutch-band (http://www.lekker-belangrijk.com)
On the homepage I have a ad-banner, just a animating gif linking to the site

On all other pages I have (in the upper right corner) an other animated gif linking to the same site

When I go to the site all looks very nice
So far... so good

But I have a friend who has somthing strang, when looking at the site.
In his IE5 screen he will NOT see those two gifs and links (all other pictures are showing), and when I check the source from his machine I see that in the tag there is a remark '!--' showing.

What is happening here, How is it possible that only on his machine the tag is changed and on all other machines where I check the site, all is okay?

Nice web site! <img src=/S/bravo.gif border=0 alt=bravo width=16 height=30>. It works fine for me.

Your friend should go to Tools/Intenet Options/Advanced and make sure under Multimedia that 'Play Animations in Web Pages' is checked. If it already is, then he could update IE5 to 5.5, or even 6.0 (which is what I'm using). Also he should make sure his MS VM is the latest available (by visiting the Microsoft website)
