Mixed header/footer info (2003 SP2)

    Good morning

I have made a manual in Word and have information, Logo, Page number, Date etc. in the header, throughout the manual I have references to Figs. which I would like to include after the last page, but for them to have no header information (the driver has to copy certain documents by law to carry certain loads and the header information is not acceptable.

Presently I store these Figs. in a sperate folder and insert them after printing but it seems a pretty ineffecient thing to me plus I would like to have everything stored in one .Doc

    Cheers

Can you insert a section break before the Figures, and then clear the "Same as Previous" setting and delete the header contents?

    Thanks Stuart

That is a bit double dutch to me as I only really use Word as a glorified typewriter normally, but it gives me something to start with, never fear I will post back when I am stuck!!

    Steve,

Sorry, here is a more clear explanation.

Word stores separate headers and footers for each section of the document.
You can insert a section break anywhere you want to in the document, and then create new headers and footers for the next section.
    To do this you should

Position the cursor just before the point where you want the new headers to start

Insert ► Break...

Section break types ► Next page

Position the cursor in the new section, just past the section break

View ► Header and Footer

Find the "Link to Previous" icon on the Header and Footer toolbar (see graphic below), and click it so it is no longer depressed

Edit the header of this section to make it look the way you want

Double click anywhere in the document to close the Header[/list]StuartR
