Adding text to a curve (2003)

I have created a free form shape - imagine a rectangle, but the top line is curved. I want to add text so it follows the curve of the line. Can this be done? I seem to remember being able to do something like this years ago but I've tried everything I can think of to no avail. Any suggestions???

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

PowerPoint itself does not support this, but you could insert a WordArt object: either select Insert | Picture | WordArt or click the Insert WordArt button on the Drawing toolbar.
After you have created a WordArt object, click the WordArt Shape button on the WordArt toolbar to change the shape.

If that is too limited, you'll have to create the curved text in a graphics program such as PhotoShop and copy/paste into PowerPoint.
