*Every* blank cell in the entire sheet? Or in the used range of the sheet?

Select the used range (for example: press Ctrl+Home, then Shift+Ctrl+End).
Select Edit | Go To... or press Ctrl+G.
    Click Special...
Click on the radio button Blanks.
    Click OK.
    Type a 0, then press Ctrl+Enter.

Nope-it just inserts a zero in the first cell of the range. Does it make a difference that there are numbers in other cells that are included in the range? That is it is a large worksheet, approx 150 Rows by 75 Columns, and some of the cells in the spreadsheet do have numbers/text in them.

Make sure that you press Ctrl+Enter after typing a 0. Not just Enter! It doesn't matter whether there are cells with numbers, text, dates or formulas in the range; they will be skipped.

Figured it out: you must type the zero before pressing Ctrl+Enter! I was doing just the opposite! Dyslexia moment! Thanks again.

Note that this will not work if your sheet has over 8192 different empty areas.
