Out of Office Assistant (Outlook 2003 Dutch)

    Good morning!

    I got the following challenge:
One of my users uses the Out of Office Assistant regularly.
She's got one problem with it: now and then when she returns to work after say a week or so... she doesn't get the warning: do you want to exit the out of office assistant.
    This happens random (she says).

Does any of you have any clue why this happens?

    Many thanks in advance!

Does the user run under Cached Exchange Mode?
(You can view/set this as follows:
    - Select Tools | E-mail accounts...
    - Click 'View or change existing e-mail accounts.
    - Click Next >.
    - Select an account in the list, then click Change...
    - Click More Settings...
    - Activate the Advanced tab.

If Cached Exchange Mode is on, it might be a synchronization problem between the local cache and the Exchange server.

I've checked this mode, but unfortunately this mode isn't on.
Do you have any other suggestions?

    Many thanks in advance!

Try creating a new mail profile for this user (in the Mail control panel).

You could also try running Outlook from the Start | run command line with the following switches:

    /cleanserverrules
    /cleanfreebusy
    /cleanreminders
-John ... I float in liquid gardens
    UTC -7ąDS
