    related values (ACCESS97)

I am very new to ACCESS and even newer to VBA. I have a combo box that looks up information from a main table. The combo box has 4 columns. Only one column actually writes to the underlying table. I want the other 3 columns to write to the underlying table as well. I saw a previous post that was a similar question, but all the responses were criticism of the design. That person stopped using this forum. I would like to learn, which includes learning from my mistakes, and learning without criticism. I have been learning only from books and I found code trom ACCESS 2.0 which isn't working in ACCESS 97. Can anyone help with the code.

I'm sorry your friend had a bad experience in the Lounge. I think it was probably an isolated incident as when I've done some pretty bone-headed things, people have been very supportive while pointing out ways I might go about it differently. <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

What kind of data are you having in your combobox, and what is the structure of the underlying table like? Can you post the non-functioning code so we can get a feel for what you're up to?
