Text box tied to check-box (2003)

A table lists members of various committees. Some members have voting rights; others do not. The table includes a yes/no field, and the user simply ticks the box to denote a voting member.

A report based on the table shows the check box. However, when I publish the report to MS-Word, the check boxes do not display. I thought about adding a text box with its data source set to the Yes/No field. Result: the text box displays either -1 or 0. Surely there's an elegant way to force the word "Yes" to display when published to MS-Word. Can someone help me, please. Thank you!

Set the Format property of the text box bound to the Yes/No field to Yes/No.

Add a field in the query that converts true and false to Yes or No.
