    'assiettes crudites' recipe

I may have the spelling wrong .....
My first meal in Paris in June 1977 had as the first disk "assietes crudites".
I recall it was a cold salad with a vinegar dressing of sorts. It included grated carrot and, I think, tomato & onion.
A Google search reveals nothing, so I may have the spelling completely wrong.

Any one here who can offer a simple recipe receives my thanks.

It's "Assiette de Crudités" (literally "plate of raw vegetables")

If you can read French: Assiette de Crudités. Otherwise, the photograph should give you the idea - it's really a very simple dish. And you can vary it according to what's available.

    From Hans link.....

Ingredients: Tomato Cucumber Red cabbages Carrot Vinaigrette sauce and/or Mayonnaise

Preparation: Cut tomato in wedges and slice cucumber into discs. Mince red cabbages. Grate carrot. Place the various ingredients in the plate. Add the vinaigrette dressing and/or Mayonnaise to improve the presentation, or add a small lettuce leaf, a Hard-boiled egg or an onion slice for example.

Thanks, I can. I ate there for 30 months.
I got most of it right - onion, carrot, tomato & cucumber, vinaigrette.
I missed out on the red cabbage.
    Next time.
    Thanks.

    >a Hard-boiled egg
Thanks. I think I have one of those lying around. My memorable meal didn't include that, but it certainly goes with it.
    Yummmmm!
