    AutoFill Textbox (2007)

I have a form based off a query quPO. On the form there is a text box called txtPODate. I want the text box to automatically fill in with the current system date. I want to date to be stored in the table. The control source of the textbox is set to PO Date. Is this possible?

    Thanks,
    BZ

You can set the Default Value property of the text box on the form, or of the field it is bound to, to Date().
When you create a new record, the field/text box will automatically be set to the current date, but the user can still edit it. If you want to prevent editing, set the Locked property of the text box to Yes.
Setting the Default property has no effect whatsoever on already existing records.

I set the default value property to Date() and now it does what I want.
    Thanks,
