    Paste Picture on Toolbar (XL03)

    On my excel toolbar, I have a button for
    Copy
    Paste
    Paste Special
    Paste Formatting
    Paste Values

    Anyone know how to get a button for Paste Picture and Paste Picture Link? If I go through the normal channels of customizing a toolbar, those options do not seem to be available from the list. Is there an alternate method?

    Re: Paste Picture on Toolbar (XL03)

    Hi Ricky

    I do not immediately know how to do this but I will give it a little research, as a tip what a lot of people do not realise is some of the tool bar buttons have 'opposites' if you hold down shift and click them so effectively you can double your buttons but I can't find one that does what you want, ones that I have found on the net before are

    HOLD SHIFT AND CLICK

    Open - Save
    Angle Text Upward - Angle Text Downward
    Print - Print Preview
    Sort Ascending - Sort Descending
    Underline - Double Underline
    Left Align - Right Align
    Center Align - Merge and Center
    Increase Decimal - Decrease Decimal
    Decrease Indent - Increase Indent
    Insert Rows - Delete Rows
    Insert Columns - Delete Columns
    Paste Formatting - Paste Values
    Clear Contents - Clear Formatting
    Trace Dependents - Remove Dependent Arrows

    I don't think one is "builtin" You should be able to create the code, add it to your personal.xls file and then add a custom button for it

    Re: Paste Picture on Toolbar (XL03)

    To expand on sdckapr's reply, here are two macros you could copy into a module in your Personal.xls macro workbook, then assign to a custom toolbar button:

    Sub PastePicture()
    ActiveSheet.Pictures.Paste
    End Sub

    Sub PastePictureLink()
    ActiveSheet.Pictures.Paste Link:=True
    End Sub

    They are edited versions of recorded macros. Pictures is a "hidden language element" in Excel VBA, so you won't find help on it.

    Thank You

    Thanks. I have attached the code you provided to a couple of new buttons on the toolbar. I find that I use "Paste Picture" quite a bit, so this will be a nice addition. If anyone else is interested in attaching the code to toolbar buttons, I've included an xls sheet with button images that might be useful.
