    Annoying Dell Toolbar

I have a new Dell laptop with Vista and Internet Explorer 7. It has an annoying toolbar at the top that says "internet explorer provided by Dell." How do I delete this toolbar?

I believe you are referring to the Title Bar. To change that you will need to edit the registry. From here....

In regedit navigate to this key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerMain

change (or create) the value of the string "Window Title" to whatever you want on the titlebar of Internet Explorer - to have no title except the title of the web pages you are browsing do not enter anything for a value.

If you are not comfortable editing the registry or don't understand these instructions as written, I'd suggest you learn to live with this little annoyance. A mistake in editing the registry can disable your computer. HTH <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

Sorry, those instructions are for XP. But the instructions are the same for Vista.
