    Null Issues (2007)

I have three text boxes: txtShipping, txtTax, and txtTotal. They are all currency. When the form opens, they all show blank. I want them to display $0.00 instead of being blank. Is this possible? The problem is if the user doesn't want to input shipping, the total won't display because it sees null in the shipping box. Right now the user inputs txtShipping, txtTax is calculated on a different form, and txtTotal is the sum of txtShipping and txtTax.

    Thanks,
    BZ

You can set the Default Value property of the fields or text boxes - see my reply to your <post:=691,957>post 691,957</post:>.

You can also use the following calculation for txtTotal:

    =Nz([txtShipping],0)+Nz([txtTax],0)

The Nz function replaces null values in its first argument with the value of the second argument.

I used =Nz([txtShipping],0)+Nz([txtTax],0) and that worked great.
    Thanks,
