Use a value from an expression to define a field (2000)

    Hi,

Stuck on this query at the moment and it may not possible to do this.

Is there a way to define the results of an earlier calculation or field results / value as the field name I am drying to do a dlookup on.

For example. I have a field called 'mailingcode', I wish to uis the value for this field to perform the following function:

    Areas: DLookup("mailingcode.value","tblPurchaser","purchi d=" & [purchid])

    Your help woudl be appreciated.
    Best Regards,

    Luke

I'm not sure I understand what you want, but what happens of you omit the quotes around the first argument?

    Areas: DLookup(mailingcode,"tblPurchaser","purchid=" & [purchid])
