    Graph Help Please (2003 SP2)

    Good afternoon

I very rarely get involved with graphs so I am totally out of my depth for this one of request, I have been asked to interpret the information in the attached worksheet into a format the same as the image in the post that follows.

Quite frankly I have not even got a clue where to start, can anybody help please?

    Cheers

    1. Select B1:C97 - the columns with the date/time values and the temperature value.
    2. Click the Chart Wizard button on the toolbar.
    3. Select XY (Scatter) as chart type, and the subtype with smooth lines without markers.
    4. Click Next >. You'll see a preview of the chart.
    5. Click Next >.
    6. Enter appropriate captions for the chart title and for the X and Y axes.
    7. Activate the Gridlines tab and tick the check box for major gridlines for the X axis.
    8. Activate the Legend tab and clear the check box Show legend.
    9. Click Finish.
    10. You can select various parts of the chart and format them the way you want.

It is not clear what the horizontal red line and the blue area at the bottom are based on. Is the red line the average?

    Thanks Hans

The red line was a 'danger line' and not required nor was the blue at the bottom, perfect for their use, thanks - sorry about the size of the picture I have not long managed to make them smaller than 100kb I will now practise the shrinking techniques

    Cheers
