Monetary Puzzle from Mr. Excel MVP

Hi all

knowing your thirst for a good quiz I thought I would post this link that I happen across, Andrew Fergus is from NZ and is an MVP on the Mr. Excel site so I am sure that there is nothing dodgy in this, he is inviting all to take part in his cipher challenge here

http://www.accessdata.co.nz/

I would like to see one of our guys win it (guys = male or female gender!!)

Cheers

I would say that's a bit more complicated than what we usually encounter around here...

After a little coding fun the colour codes for the first image (101px x 10px) are in th attached text file...
more than likely a red herring but I thought I would add it

Keep think that 101 x 10 pixels maybe a coincidence but can't help thinking binary or the key

Hi Jezza

I am quite useless at puzzles like this, all I see are mosaic type bars, I don't know how you managed to see anything else, I can just about manage the Mail on Sunday and the Sunday Express magazine crosswords.

My theory is that Mr Excel is using encryption via the values and positions of the colour codes 0-56, how, I do not know, I think the secret is to look at the codes and using the public key it will "open" the puzzle. I was playing around more to interpret the colour values of each square.

Which means you've had the whole weekend to work on it - so what's the answer?
