Counting dates within a quarter (2007)

I need to count how many meetings my team has in a given quarter. I've attached an example of how we track the meetings. I need to product a summary page which counts how many meetings we have in each quarter of. This summary is updated continually in the current quarter, which is why I don't want to do a manual count. I've made extensive use of COUNTIFS in the other items we are summarizing, but I can't figure out how to do this for a quarter.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,
    DeNae

Could you attach a copy of the file in format other than XL2007? Many of the people who answer questions, do not have XL2007...

See the attached version (in Excel 97-2003 format). I used a SUMPRODUCT formula

    =SUMPRODUCT(NOT(ISBLANK(Sheet1!$A$2:$A$100))*(INT( (MONTH(Sheet1!$A$2:$A$100)-1)/3)+1=A2))

where A2 contains the number of a quarter.

Note: I removed the external references.
