    Creating a blank line (2003)

    Hi all,
I am wondering if excel has a feature where I can select a block of text, and have a blank row of cells appear under each row.
    Is this possible?
    Thanks all.

You could do it like this:

    - add 1,2,3,4,.... in an extra column next to your text
    - Insert as many rows as there is text below your text
    - select text and numbers and sort, first key are the numbers, second key is the text.
    - remove numbers.

    Shouldn't one copy the numbers?

Did Jan Karel's method work for you? If so, forget about my question (directed at him, not at you).

BTW, a similar method is described in <post#=393,540>post 393,540</post#>; it assumes that the block begins in row 1.

Oops, yes of course. Sorry for the confusion I caused.
