    Disable the touchpad (vista)

I was wondering if there is a way to disable the touchpad on my Dell notebook so it won't be in the way when I type.
I have a wireless mouse which I prefer to use.

Woops, those screenshots were from Windows XP - but I would imagine that Vista must have something very similar.

In Vista all one needs to do is (as above)
    Control Panel,
    Mouse (Under Hardware and Sound)
    Hardware tab
    Properties
    Driver Tab
    Uninstall

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

It must be a safety default setting by Dell. When I restart, the driver re-installs automatically. O well.......thanx

I got it. By clicking on the touchpad icon, it brought up a window where I selected the option to disable when a usb external mouse is present..
