    Backup files and folders

I develop and use 2 different computers at home, a pc and a laptop.
What i need is a few scripts on each computer that will copy ust folders to the other computer depending where i have done the work.

I have heard of Robocopy. are there better options out there? If not, where can i download Robocopy from?

    Re: Backup files and folders

I believe Robocopy is part of the Microsoft Server OS - could be wrong.

You don't mention the type of Microsoft OS you have but what about using Micosoft Task Scheduler - presuming you have a backup software application or are using Microsoft's backup features.

Microsoft's SyncToy will probably do what you want. I find it quite useful.

    Re: Backup files and folders

I use Micfosoft's offline folders to ensure that files on my laptop are identical to the ones on the PC at home. You need XP Professional for this, it doesn't work on XP Home.
