Reviews of SuperAntiSpyware are mixed - the one you mention is positive, while SUPERAntiSpyware - Reviews by PC Magazine judges it to be only fair. On the other hand, our own <!profile=AlanMiller>AlanMiller<!/profile> is enthusiastic, see <post:=638,815>post 638,815</post:>.

Just to further qualify what I'd said, after longer experience, I still find it good but I do miss the AdAware capability of a "Smart Scan", which reduces total scanning time considerably. It probably takes about as long as Spybot S&D and may come up with some false positives. Being in relative infancy, this is to be expected, but it does mean that the novice user should not assume that saying "yes, select all and delete everything" will be a totally safe option. You really have to be able to know how to judge and research the things it turns up. Maybe not such a good program for the novice of faint-of-heart.

Thank you gentlemen, as an oldie still with my L plates on I think it prudent to stay with SpyBot S & D, AdAware & Scan & Destroy which latter I have mentioned before but which some have not heard of. I acquired it at my local computer shop the owner of which says he uses it constantly on his home computer and highly recommended it as it detects & eradicates every suspicious bug. Thanks again Dave.
