    Date (2003 SP 2)

I want to be able to type just the 6 characters for a date and have the slashes put in automatically. Example: 02/12/08. Under Format Cells, I have chosen Date and the one that has the 6 characters. However, if I do not type a hyphen or a slash, something totally unexpected appears. Example: I type 012508 and I get 03/30/34. Is there a way to do what I would like?

It requires VBA coding - see <post:=462,200>post 462,200</post:> and Date And Time Entry on Chip Pearson's site.
