    Pagefile wont move

Months ago I set the page file on my C drive to 'No paging file', and set the page file on my E drive to 4096 MB. Yet using SequoiaView there is still a page file of 2 GB on my C drive. (I have re-booted many times since.)
How do I actually get the page file off my C drive?
    Regards,
    Peter

Did you follow the steps such as those in the second paragraph at Enhance Performance by Moving the Pagefile or WindowsDevCenter.com -- Optimizing Your Servers' Pagefile Performance (pictures here)?

Thanks Joe. But I did a really radical thing: I deleted the pagefile! And it actually deleted and is no more.

    Re: Pagefile wont move

Gosh Peter, that was a brave decision to make but I am sure a thoroughly researched decision.

The reason I mention this is because I had a developer in my offices who was seen to be openly and uncontrollably sobbing at his desk once....reason, yep, you've got it, he had deleted the pagesys file "...because it was holding a lot of memory"

Silly chap hadn't taken an image of his work before doing it....oh well, we have all done it and I am sure he won't be doing it again.

    Anyway, glad it is sorted <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>
