End Pra introduced on field updates (2003 SR2)

    Dear Longers,

This is similar to a recent question I posted about updating fields which I tyhougbh was about database links however I have found something similar with this field code:

    INCLUDETEXT "Z:26 Next_GenerationBusiness Model (NGRM)ProcessDescriptionsPR121" ProcessName * MERGEFORMAT

This resolves perfectly BUT introduces an end paragraph before the field when I update it. If I remove it the next update reintroduces it, if I leave it no further end paragraphs are introduced.

Does anyone know how I can avoid this?

    Thank you........................ liz

When I try this, Word places a paragraph break at the beginning of the IncludeText field, i.e. inside the field. If you delete it, it will rise from the grave when you update the field because it is part of the field. In other words, I fear that you cannot avoid this behavior.

    Hi Liz,

If you change the range defined by your 'ProcessName' bookmark to excluding the unwanted final paragraph marker, I believe that will eliminate the extraneous paragraph mark in the target document.
    Cheers,
