    Could you elaborate on what exactly should trigger the moving, what should be moved and where it should be moved to?

    You have just repeated the original post. Please answer sdckapr's question by providing more detailed information about what exactly you want.
    - What is the "certain field"? Which column?
    - What is the name of the second sheet?
    - Should only the "certain field" be transferred or more (if so, what)?
    - Where in the second sheet should the data end up?

    Re: Automove rows to another sheet (2003)

    Hi sorry about that, my bad!

    Job Number Current Status Cert Manager Application date Date Quote sent Date Quote accepted
    230311 Quote sent ND 08/06/2006 08/06/2006
    229667 abandon 12/07/2006 11/07/2006

    I would like when a date is entered in the "Date quote accepted" to automatically move the whole row to the completed sheet on the same workbook to the next available row. Thanks alot

    I don't think it is a good idea to let rows be moved as you type, it causes all kinds of problems. Instead, you could create the following macro and assign it to a command button, toolbar button and/or keyboard shortcut. When you have edited the worksheet, run the macro.

    Sub MoveRows()
    Dim r As Long
    Dim m As Long
    Dim t As Long
    t = Worksheets("Sheet 2").Range("F" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row
    m = Worksheets("Sheet 1").Range("F" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row
    For r = m To 2 Step -1
    If Not Worksheets("Sheet 1").Range("F" & r) = "" Then
    t = t + 1
    With Worksheets("Sheet 1").Range("F" & r).EntireRow
    .Copy Destination:=Worksheets("Sheet 2").Range("A" & t)
    .Delete
    End With
    End If
    Next r
    End Sub

    Substitute the correct sheet names.

    Hi thanks again. What do you mean "When you have edited the worksheet, run the macro". do you mean apply the filter to the abandoned data let say then hit the button. thanks

    You don't have to apply a filter. I simply meant that you can run the macro after having entered data in the first sheet to move the rows whose Date Quote Accepted has been filled in to the second sheet.
