Deleting rows of check boxes (Excel 97, SR2)

I'm creating an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of user's accesses to particular security roles. I've created one with check boxes that will meet my needs, however I'm concerned when a user leaves the company and the row needs to be deleted, the check boxes aren't deleting just the row text and I end up with over-lapping check boxes.

    Thanks for any assistance.

I think you will have to remove the checkboxes manually before deleteing the row. How to do that depends on the source of the of the check boxes, i.e from the Forms toolbar or from the Controls toolbar. If from the the Forms toolbar just use the selector from the Drawing toolbar (white arrow) and select the checkbox and delete.

If the are from the control toolbar, you need to set the controls mode to Design, which will allow you to click on th echeckbox and delete it. To engage design mode, click on the button with the blue triangle to toggle design mode. When the check box is deleted click the blue triangle again.

    Hope that is of assistance

    Hi there,
If you rightclick on the checkbox, format control, properties, then select : move and size with cells, the checkbox will be deleted when you delete the rows.
