    Unprotecting a protected document (word 2003 sr2)

    Dear Loungers,

I have a document that I must edit. It has been protected and unfortunately the author is in hospital undergoing major surgery. Does anyone know of a tool or method that will find the password? I can't use save as since it takes the password constraint with it.

    Thanks.................. liz

If you can open the document, select everything (Ctrl+A), then copy and paste into a new document.

In some cases, you might prefer to use the "RTF method" instead: Re: How 2 unprotect document (Word 2K SR 1)
