    Vista Updates (Vista )

Woody's comments on updates usually have an MS reference (e.g. MS08-010) but the Vista updates I see on my update screen usually start with KB. What's the difference? When Woody says to delay applying the patch, how do i connect the MS notices to the KB references? Thanks.

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

If you search Google for MS08-010, the relevant links will be at or near the top of the results. In the screenshot below, you can see the associated KB number in the URL.

On this page - which is what I personally refer to - the KB number is listed immediately after the MS number. Does that help?

    Hans and unkamunka

Thanks for the quick replies. Now I understand the relationship.
