    Start Menu (XP Home SP2)

I have lots of programs installed on my Compaq laptop.
When I go to "Start, All programs"I have a long list to look through and they seem to be in the order they were installed.
I'd like to set up the list by topics and alphabetize the lists.
Is this possible? How would I do it?

View your Start menu from Windows Explorer and go to "Cocuments and Settings(User Name)Start MenuPrograms"
You can move thing around any way you want, by adding new sub-folders and then moving the different links to what ever sub-folder. <img src=/S/evilgrin.gif border=0 alt=evilgrin width=15 height=15>

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

    John,
You cam also right click on an item in the Start menu, then check the line "Sort by Name", which will alphabetize them.

Long ago, there was a time when men cursed and beat on the ground with sticks. It was called witchcraft.
    Today it is called golf!

Just an example - here are the "topics" subfolders I use.
