Replace IE7 'Add to favorites' dropdown (SP2)

IE7 on XP changed the way your existing favorites folder structure is shown in the "Add to favorites" dialog. Before it was a tree view control where you could open each folder separately to see it's subfolders. Now it is one single drop down control showing each and every folder in an expanded list. With a complex folder structure this is a pain in the a** to scroll to the right folder. On Vista they changed back to the old tree view. Is there any tweak around to get it on Windows XP?
I know I can get kind of what I want using the favorites center pane but I do not like that.

I don't use IE7, but you might find some useful information here in the Favorites Center or RSS support sections about 1/3 of the way down the page.

Thanks for the hint but it is not what I am looking for.

This seems to be a very common (and understandable) gripe, but no remedial addons appear to have been forthcoming. I recently began using the Maxthon Browser (formerly MyIE2) and have been delighted with its features. Unlike a change to, say, Firefox, Maxthon uses the IE engine and remains closely knit with IE, while providing an amazing potential for improvement and enhancement of the IE interface/ features. Phew! - sounds like I'm trying to sell it, but it's <img src=/S/free.gif border=0 alt=free width=30 height=15>.

The "wonderful" tree'd Favorites feature is gone. I use the handy sidebar provided, but there are several (useful) ways available to view/ manage favorites. Also no need to import existing IE favorites - they just appear as they did in IE7. It runs perfectly straight out of the box.

Alan, thanks for the hint. I'll sure have a closer look at that one.
