    Tools (2003)

I was trying to lock down my file for end users, and in the start up menu, clicked on something that removed the tools option from the menu bar - how do I restore it? Thanks!

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

Close the database, then hold down the Shift key while reopening it. This bypasses the startup options, so you should have the full menu bar again. You can then select Tools | Startup to tick the check box for Full menus again.

Right clock on the menu bar, choose customize... Go to the Commands tab, scroll down in the "Categories" pane and find Built In Menus. In the "Commands " list, scroll down and find the "Tools" entry. Drag it back to your menu bar.

If "Allow full menus" has been disabled in Tools | Startup..., Customize won't help to get the Tools menu back...
