Insertion Pointer (Office 2000)

I'm ashamed to admit it, but I am trying to turn the cursor in word from a blinking line to a box - I wasn't sure if changing it in the pointers section of my mouse settings (control panel) was the answer or not, but it doesn't appear to be. I can't really find the answer in Help since I don't know the correct name for it. Do you know what I'm talking about? Open Word, and at the start of the document (or where ever your insertion point is), you see a thin vertical blinking line. I'm wondering if I can change that to a box.

Hope someone out here is willing to help me. . . .

    I'm grateful . . .

    Re: Insertion Pointer (Office 2000)

As far as I can tell the insertion point is constant across Windows, so I dug into Google and Download.com for Windows utilities. The closest matches were: (1) software for better accessibility for the visually challenged (although I couldn't find anything specific amongst the zillions of articles) and (2) programs that let you customize your cursors (e.g., hourglass) - I don't know if these can customize the insertion point. Happy hunting!
