    The Garden

Jezza Bear and Al Bear Einstein were having a quiet afternoon in their study at the Magic Forest University talking about the problem of JB's privet bush when all of a sudden the Hotline phone rang, Al Bear looked shocked, it was very rare that this phone rang, this was serious, nothing was more important than this, not even the Prime Minister, it was Mrs J calling from the Log Cabin.

    JB picked the phone up.

"Yes Dear, no dear, I see dear" he repeated "How long? Yes, and How high?"

The conversation continued "Yes Dear, a pint of milk and a choccy bar, yes dear"

JB put the phone back on its cradle and sat down by the fire, twiddling his paws.

"What's the problem JB?" Asked Al Bear

"This is an interesting one Al, Jezzarette 2 was given the job of cutting the privet in the garden today and I let her use my new 4 metre ladder so she could lean it against the bush and chop away, however I have a large toolbox to store my spare chainsaws which is 1 metre high and 1 metre deep. Jezzarette 2 has been able to lean the ladder against the privet bush such that at one point the ladder touches the top edge toolbox and the top of the ladder touches the very top of the privet bush. She states she knows the height of the privet bush without using a ruler!"

"Al Bear, I took a lot of time building that shed and I know it is perfectly square, shall we ask the Loungers to see if they know how tall my privet bush is?"
