    Flash (XP)

I realize that this might not be the place to ask this question, but because XP control panel does show the programs I thought I would ask.
    Haven't found an Adobe Forum.

In order to install some software I was told I needed the latest edition of Flash and Shockwave. Went to the Adobe site and did install and both showed they completely installed. Started disc and was told I needed latest version. It is the latest version. Disc will not run.
When I went to Control panel, Add and Remove Programs, Adobe FLash Player Active X and Shockwave show up, but there is no size shown. Does this indicate that the software really was not installed?

No. The size is up to the software vendor to supply.

How old is the software you are trying to install ?? If it's older then perhaps it wants something from an older version of one of those two programs that is not in the newer one. <img src=/S/shrug.gif border=0 alt=shrug width=39 height=15>

You may want to go to your file associations and verify that the .SWF extension is set for Flash Media Player - I had a problem that it was set for Irfanview instead, and once change to Flash everything worked fine.
