    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

    - Open your form in design view.
    - If necessary, open the Properties window (View | Properties)
    - Activate the Event tab of the Properties window.
    - Click in the On Open box.
    - Select [Event Procedure] from the dropdown list in this box.
    - Click the button with three dots ... to the right of the dropdown arrow.
    - Make the code look like this:
    <code>
    Private Sub Form_Open(Cancel As Integer)
    DoCmd.Maximize
    End Sub
    </code>
    - Switch back to Access.
    - If you also want to restore the window to normal size when the form is closed:
    - Click in the On Close box.
    - Select [Event Procedure] from the dropdown list in this box.
    - Click the button with three dots ... to the right of the dropdown arrow.
    - Make the code look like this:
    <code>
    Private Sub Form_Close()
    DoCmd.Restore
    End Sub
    </code>
    - Switch back to Access.
    - Save and close the form.

    Thanks very much-would have taken me hours to research that!!. At first I couldn't get your instructions to work, because I hadn't selected form from the dropdown, but have got there now.
