Locked table (Access03)

I have a button that makes a table and also appends records to that table. Then I have a subform created from that table on the same form as the mentioned button. When the button is pressed I get the message that the table is locked since it is already in use. What is the best work around for this? I thought about putting the button on the registration form, but that is only one way of registering people. You can also register people from the form that the button is currently on. Thank you. I assume that the problem arises when you want to delete the existing table - as long as the subform based on the table is open, you cannot delete it. Why is it necessary to create a table? Perhaps you could keep the table, and delete existing records, then append new records.
