    Sal,

I use Excel 2003 and under 'About MSoft Help' there is a button for system information. You can export the system information to a text file.

    Hope this helps,
    John

You can use WMI scripts to get this sort of information. The exact script depends on which information you want. This is a VBScript example that you can adapt as required:
    <pre>Set objWMIService = GetObject("winmgmts:")
    Set colInstances = objWMIService.ExecQuery("SELECT * FROM Win32_ComputerSystem")
    For Each objInstance In colInstances
    WScript.Echo objInstance.AdminPasswordStatus
    WScript.Echo objInstance.AutomaticResetBootOption
    WScript.Echo objInstance.AutomaticResetCapability
    WScript.Echo objInstance.BootOptionOnLimit
    WScript.Echo objInstance.BootOptionOnWatchDog
    WScript.Echo objInstance.BootROMSupported
    WScript.Echo objInstance.BootupState
    WScript.Echo objInstance.Caption
    WScript.Echo objInstance.ChassisBootupState
    WScript.Echo objInstance.CreationClassName
    WScript.Echo objInstance.CurrentTimeZone
    WScript.Echo objInstance.DaylightInEffect
    WScript.Echo objInstance.Description
    WScript.Echo objInstance.Domain
    WScript.Echo objInstance.DomainRole
    WScript.Echo objInstance.FrontPanelResetStatus
    WScript.Echo objInstance.InfraredSupported
    WScript.Echo objInstance.InitialLoadInfo
    WScript.Echo objInstance.InstallDate
    WScript.Echo objInstance.KeyboardPasswordStatus
    WScript.Echo objInstance.LastLoadInfo
    WScript.Echo objInstance.Manufacturer
    WScript.Echo objInstance.Model
    WScript.Echo objInstance.Name
    WScript.Echo objInstance.NameFormat
    WScript.Echo objInstance.NetworkServerModeEnabled
    WScript.Echo objInstance.NumberOfProcessors
    WScript.Echo objInstance.OEMLogoBitmap
    WScript.Echo objInstance.OEMStringArray
    WScript.Echo objInstance.PauseAfterReset
    WScript.Echo objInstance.PowerManagementCapabilities
    WScript.Echo objInstance.PowerManagementSupported
    WScript.Echo objInstance.PowerOnPasswordStatus
    WScript.Echo objInstance.PowerState
    WScript.Echo objInstance.PowerSupplyState
    WScript.Echo objInstance.PrimaryOwnerContact
    WScript.Echo objInstance.PrimaryOwnerName
    WScript.Echo objInstance.ResetCapability
    WScript.Echo objInstance.ResetCount
    WScript.Echo objInstance.ResetLimit
    WScript.Echo objInstance.Roles
    WScript.Echo objInstance.Status
