    Hi Fred,
Have you updated Java to the latest version?
    andor Reinstalled it?
Sounds like a missing or corrupt Java DLL.

If you had another puter with that same program and a flash drive I could help.... What you need to probably do is to obtain a non-corrupted .dll file and over write the one in your puter.

    Bob,Jimbo,greetings,
Yes i have the latest "Java v6 update 3" However, when i follow the error path there is no "java.dll"? The only "java .dll" is in a different folder,
    "javajrel.6.0-04bin" Regards Plain Fred

You could try deinstalling PC-Doctor 5 and then reinstalling it again, this should make sure all the correct parts are in the right place.

    Fred,

I assumed that you had installed the product once already. How did it get onto your PC?

    StuartR,Hello
"PC Doctor5" was installed with the computer(HP Pavillion) when purchased.
Do you know if microsoft web site (or any one else) offers this as a "Download Repair"?

Re: PC-Doctor 5 (Vista Home Premium)

    Fred,
There is a Java update 4 out now.
I would go for the install of the latest version and deleting the update 3. Not necessarily that the latest update itself is the answer but the idea is to remove the old update and reinstall Java anew.

Re: PC-Doctor 5 (Vista Home Premium)

Well, as Stuart suggested, how about either removing PC Doctor and reinstalling it from the HP recovery CD OR removing it and replacing it with something else like SPYBOT S&D or similar? I'm not familiar with PC Doctor at all.

Re: PC-Doctor 5 (Vista Home Premium)

    Fred,

Apparently PC Doctor is a regular commercial program not freeware. You can get a TRIAL version download HERE but not any "repair" version.

It SHOULD be on your HP CD if you really want it back.

Re: PC-Doctor 5 (Vista Home Premium)

    Bob, Hello
"PC-Doctor 5" came with the computer(Pc Help&Tools) A utility to check hardware and software,What version driver is running etc.
Has nothing to do with spyware (as far as i know) Used it in the past to check what "NVIDA Driver that was installed etc.to check for possible
updates. Dont think that it has anything to do with the PC-Doctor you have mentioned. Regards Plain Fred

PC-Doctor has a support forum, it might be worth asking there so see if anyone knows how to fix this.

    StuartR, hello
Thanks for the tip, i will check it out and post back. I have also found a website "Lenvo Support & downloads PC doctor for Windows"
There seems to be many programs with "PC doctor" in the name, but they are not the "hardware diagnostic tool"that came with my PC.
