    microsoft XPS Document Writer (XP)

    Has anyone used MSoft's XPS Document Writer?

    I would like to print to a XPS file and utilize VBA to select the document writer (as the printer), name the XPS file and append a print job to it.

    Regards,
    John

    You'll have to find the exact name of the printer, on my PC it's
    <code>
    Microsoft XPS Document Writer on Ne00:
    </code>
    You can find the name by recording a macro of printing a worksheet to the Microsoft XPS Document Writer.

    Sample code:
    <code>
    Dim strFile As String
    strFile = "C:OutputTest.xps"
    ActiveSheet.PrintOut ActivePrinter:="Microsoft XPS Document Writer on Ne00:", PrToFileName:=strFile</code>

    Hans,

    Your suggestion worked for printing just one page. What about printing a second page (with different information) and have it append to the first or in this case last page of the XPS file.

    Regards,
    John
