    flashing screen (home premium)

When i try to open a file on my desktop , the internet explorer window flashes open then closes. this repeats over and over until i shut down . the file in question has the IEicon next to it. the other files do not have this problem. I downloaded this file from a trusted source. Can you help me?Thanks, John

    Try this:
    - Go to File association fixes for Windows Vista
    - Read the instructions carefully.
    - Download, then run the fix for zip files
