Formula Help (Windows 2003 Service Pack 2)

    Hello

I currently have this formula =MAX(E38)*O38 but I would like to introduce a minimum of 40.00, how can I adapt it please

    Thank you

    Roger

It's not entirely clear what you want - do you want to replace E38 with 40 if it is less than 40, or do you want to replace the result of MAX(E38)*O38 with 40 if it is less than 40?

BTW, I'd prefer to use =MAX(E38,0) if you want to replace blanks with 0, for although MAX(E38) does the same, it is less intuitive.

    Hello

Thanks for the response Hans, this is an inherited workbook at the firm where I work, Column E = quantity of product and Column 0 = value of product, up until now if the result has been less than 40 (minimum order) it has been manually input, as this worksheet covers 1000's of products I was trying to make the calculation return a minimum value of 40.00 automatically,

Hope that offers a little more insight

    Thank you

    Roger

Edited by HansV to correct stupid mistake

Does this do what you want?

    =MAX(E38*O38,40)
