Styles in text boxes (word 2003 SP2/XP Pro)

I have several templates that use break out boxes and the like and these are managed using text boxes. When I filter the list of styles with Formatting in use, none of the styles in the text boxes or the header and footer are displayed.

These styles are displayed in the Formatting of selected text window when the text is selected but not at other times.

Is there a way to get these styles to display in the list of formatting in use?

    Thanks in advance, Geoff

Hmm, in Word 2002 all styles in use are displayed, regardless of where the insertion point is situated. I'll test in Word 2003 later.

In Word 2003 SP3 I see all styles in use, wherever in the document they are used.
