    Internet banking security

Does anybody know of a website or downloadable document, which details the kinds of losses carried by banks as a result of various types of online security issues? Ideally, I'd like a breakdown of actual numbers for various types of incident and their causes. Any leads appreciated.

I very much doubt that banks would be willing to publish such numbers.

This page at APACS, from which you can get to Card Fraud Facts, may give you a start - albeit for old data and the UK only...

I attended a webinar where a couple banks talked about phishing attacks. They were fairly candid but I don't think they gave any loss information in their slides.

This site might be a good resource/portal: http://www.bankinfosecurity.com/ (free registration required)

Thanks all for the leads. I'll try some further follow-ups based on them. And yes, it's very hard to find any actual nmbers.

This month's (UK) PC Pro magazine said it was going to have a review of online bank security - but IMNVHO it is pretty rubbishy, and dealt mostly with the user features of the services from ten-or-so online banking facilities... Also non-numeric. At some point in the future they may have the article online at their website.
