    Search in access 2003 (2003)

    Hi all,

I have created a simple access database, can someone recommend/show me how to do a search function on the form, I would like to search for record by surname maybe using a combo box, does anyone know how to do this?

    Many thanks,

The easiest way to do this is the Combo Box Wizard.
    - You'll need to have a table or query that lists the surnames.
    - Make sure that the Control Wizards button on the Toolbox (the button with the magic wand) is "on" (depressed).
    - Place a combo box on your form, for example in the form header section.
    - The Combo Box Wizard will start. Select the third option "Find a record on my form based on the value I selected in my combo box".
    - Click Next, then follow the instructions.
