    Re: Records count (Access2000-03)

Do you want to calculate this in a query? If so:

    - Create a query based on the table.
    - Add the Person_ID and Job_Opening_ID fields to the query grid, and no others.
    - Select View | Totals.
    - This query returns the unique combinations of Person_ID and Job_Opening_ID.
    - Save as, for example, qryUnique.

    - Create a new query based on qryUnique.
    - Add Person_ID and Job_Opening_ID to the query grid.
    - Select View | Totals.
    - Change the Total option for Job_Opening_ID from Group By to Count.
    - This query returns the count of unique Job_Opening_IDs per Person_ID.

    Re: Records count (Access2000-03)

Please read my previous reply carefully. It consists of two parts. In the first part, a query named qryUnique is created and saved. In the second part, this query is used to create a new query.

    Hi!
Does "this query is used to create a new query" means I am using qryUnique with qryMain and link them together by the fields in qryUnique - right?

I gave a detailed description. Please read it carefully.

I have no idea what qryMain is.
