Trying to send bookmark to Access as a Hyperlink (Word 2003)

    I am within MS Access and opening a word file and doing lots of stuff and finally pulling pieces of info from a Word Document into the MS Access table; all is working well but I am not successful in pulling the bookmarked value to a hyperlinked data-type field in the access table. I am using the following as an attempt:

    hlink = .Application.PathSeparator & "myDoc.doc" & "#" & strText2 , where strText2 is the name of the bookmark.

    I have exhausted myself in attempting but to no avail. I know my syntax is probably "jacked up"; any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Re: Trying to send bookmark to Access as a Hyperlink (Word 2003)

    Try

    hlink = "Display Text" & "#" & .Application.PathSeparator & "myDoc.doc" & "#" & strText2

    where Display Text is the text that will be displayed in the hyperlink field. A hyperlink field in Access consists of 3 parts separatred by # characters:

    displaytext#hyperlinkaddress#subaddress
