Change 'cell block' Color (Excel 98 and higher)

How do you change the display on Excel? Example - the cell where you are at is not visible because the color is very light. How can you change it? I've done it years ago but my co-worker has the same problem and I can't remember how to do it.

    Thanks

In older versions of Excel, it was (I think) the color set for "Selected Items" in the Appearance tab of the Display Properties control panel, but in recent versions it might be hard-coded.

Chip Pearson has a free RowLiner Add-In that highlights the active cell, row and column in a highly customizable way.

BTW, the e-mail address in your profile apparently doesn't exist any more - the notification of my previous reply bounced. Please edit your profile and enter a valid e-mail address. You can then turn on notifications again if you wish.
